Charitable Remainder Trusts: Since 1969, countless families have used Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs) to increase their incomes, save taxes and benefit charities. And now, with recent changes in the tax laws, they are even more attractive.
A CRT lets you convert highly appreciated assets, (like stocks or real estate) into a lifetime income without having to pay capital gains tax when the asset is sold. It reduces estate taxes when you die and allows you to benefit the Winchester Exchange Child-Parent Center IE: "your designated charity".
If you are interested in this type of philanthropic giving, please contact the center at 1-800-567-7954 for arrangements or ask a tax professional of your choice.
